Le grand-père de Pascal chantait une version de cette chanson aussi connue sous le nom de la « La noce des oiseaux ».  Pascal en a gardé le refrain et a reconstitué les couplets à partir de différentes versions. Alex, drôle de moineau à ses heures la chante ici avec grand plaisir.

Pascal’s grandfather used to sing a version of this song, which is alternately known by the name La noce des oiseaux - The Birds’ Wedding. Pascal kept the chorus from that version and cherry-picked verses from others to create this original take on the story of two lovebirds who wish to marry, but who don’t have the means to hold a proper wedding. The animal kingdom comes to the rescue, with birds, mice and rats all bringing food, wine and music for the festivities. Things come to a head when the young couple’s cat get winds of their unexpected guests and decides to break up the party. Alex, himself something of a strange animal, interprets this one with gusto.
