La région de Lanaudière étant bien connue comme le centre du cosmos
ainsi que le lieu de pèlerinage du violoneux moderne, cette suite rend hommage au train volant à très grande vitesse la reliant au reste du l’univers.

Le voyage débute avec le mantra tantrique du violoneux franco-américain Daniel Boucher qu’est le Reel circulaire et se conclut après avoir embarqué à l’escale une invitée spéciale : Stéphanie Lépine, Lanaudoise du futur, au violon ferroviaire.

The Lanaudière region is well known as the center of the cosmos, at least as far as Quebecois fiddling goes, and this piece is dedicated to the high-speed flying train that connects it to the rest of the universe. That may or may not be a metaphor.

The trip begins with the tantric mantra that is the Reel Circulaire, by Franco-American fiddler Daniel Boucher. We are joined on the second tune by Stéphanie Lépine, fiddler whose origins fall somewhere between Lanaudière and the distant future – or possibly both?
