Valse qui trouva son nom dans la ville de Beauly (prononcer Biouli…) en Écosse. La ville tient sont nom d’une Princesse Française qui, en pamoison devant la jolie bourgade, s’exclama : « Mais quel beau lieu!!! »

Beau lieux – Bou lieux – Biou Lieux – Biouli …c’est logique!

This waltz was given its name in the town of Beauly in Scotland. The town earned its name when a French princess, passing through the delightful hamlet, exclaimed “mais quel beau lieu!” (What a lovely place). Thus, beau lieu became Beauly and, many years later, Beauly gave rise to Beaulieu.
